Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?  I grew up in small town Illinois (Benld), population 1600.  I've lived in Tucson and Hamilton, New Zealand since then.

How long have you been competing in multi-sport races?  6 years

What is your favorite product available at TriSports.com?  Chamois butter!

How did you get your start in Triathlons?  A friend talked me into doing the Tinfoilman.

What is your favorite workout?  Riding up Mt. Lemmon and eating pie at the top

“When I’m not training/racing, I enjoy…”  Travelling!

If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why?  Natasha Badmann - she is really sweet and likes to chat.

If you could have one superhero power what would it be?  Mind-numbing beauty/ugliness

Describe your biggest race disaster.  My cable breaking minutes before a TT.

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual?  Checking my gear, then rechecking it, then checking it again.  Repeat.

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don’t normally partake of)?  The largest ice cream treat with the most chocolate/candy/sprinkles/cookie dough on it.

What is the worst job you’ve ever had?  Cleaning out grease pits in concession stands.

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition?  Keep at it.  Be smart. Push yourself.  Take breaks.  Take care of yourself.  Have a blast!
