What is your favorite product available at TriSports.com? Hopefully the new Zoot Shoes! |
How did you get your start in Triathlons? I did a mini sprint when I was 12 years old and then did the "Bud Light" series as a team (swimmer!) when I was 13 and 14 yrs old. After many years of lacrosse, I returned to triathlons when I was 35 to get away from from just running. |

What is your favorite workout? Long Run or High Cadence Drills on the trainer. |

"When I'm not training/racing, I enjoy…" Spending time with my family & friends, nutrition coaching and cooking. |
If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why? Karen Smyers. I was lucky enough to have dinner with her this winter and she has a balance, strength and passion for life and for triathlons that I admire and strive for. |

Describe your biggest race disaster. 2007 Clearwater 70.3 World Championships. I was burned out, it was late in the season…I didn’t spend enough time on core/lifting or rehabbing an injury (is that enough excuses?) and my results reflected it. |

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual? Get up @ 4am, eat oatmeal, an egg, drink a bottle of carbo pro, shower, stretch and hopefully have a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee on the way to the race! |

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don't normally partake of)? Potato chips! |
What is the worst job you've ever had? Working the cash register @ Thrift Drug when I was 15. Someone asked me where "Depends" were and I told them "with the pencils." Needless to say, that didn’t go over well but @ 15 years old, who knows what Depends are? |

What adjective describes you best? Unafraid, impatient, hot headed at times and always opinionated (you said adjectives, right?) |

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition? 1) Identify your weaknesses and work on those first. 2) Be “present” while training and racing. It is where you ought to be. 3) Nail your nutrition. 4) Focus on form, it might be the glue that holds you together and gets you through a long run or race or whatever you are doing. |
