Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?  Army Brat - moved all over mostly in the Wash., D.C. area - After marrying, I lived mostly in California, but also the Chicago area, Tokyo and Brussels.  My husband and I now retired to Arizona 5 years ago.

How long have you been competing in multi-sport races?  7 years

What is your favorite product available at TriSports.com?  Bento Box!

How did you get your start in Triathlons?  With Team-in-Training in the SF Bay Area!  Go TEAM!

What is your favorite workout?  Biking to Oracle with faster bikers!

“When I’m not training/racing, I enjoy…”  Traveling!

If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why?  Sister Madonna - She's my "hero!"

If you could have one superhero power what would it be?  Accelerated healing - a power of the Marvel comic character "She-Hulk!"

Describe your biggest race disaster.   Taking too long to change a flat at IM Canada in 2001!  Finished the bike course but missed the cut-off by 3 minutes!  (Also, it may have been a bit early to attempt an Ironman as I had been racing for less than a year!)

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual?  Peet's coffee, oatmeal & honey, and get to the race EARLY (otherwise I stress out!).

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don’t normally partake of)?  Even more chocolate (Hey, it is an anti-oxidant!  I consider it health food!).

Have you ever accidentally destroyed a very expensive piece of gear? (For example, have you driven into the garage with a bike on the roof, run over race wheels, etc.) - Fortunately, NO!... and I hope I don't!

What is the worst job you’ve ever had?  Folding clothes in a discount dept. store!

What adjective describes you best?  Tenacious!

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition?  Progress gradually, train consistently, be thankful you are able to be out there and enjoy the camaraderie of other athletes who share a similar lifestyle.
