How did you get your start in triathlons? Cross training for marathons - I rented a bike and helmet to do my first race.

What is your favorite workout? Any workout that I have company and doesn’t involve swimming. I love Strarr Pass Trails

“When I’m not training/racing I enjoy?” Wine, Food, more Wine

If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why? Stauffer- Where did you go?

If you could have one superhero power what would it be? The power to grow fins and gills- Fish Woman!

Describe your biggest race disaster. Oceanside Half-Ironman 2007. I started the bike leg with a flat tire, took me about 20 minutes to get the tubeless tires off, forgot the straw for my aero water bottle, used a big gulp straw - it broke on my first sip of water - later in the race a bee got trapped under my race top - just one of those days.

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual? Don’t we all? The bathroom, a bagel with peanut butter, and a hail mary.

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don’t normally partake of)? A beer before noon.

What is the worst job you’ve ever had? Childhood Chores- Bathroom Duty

What adjective describes you best? Business in the front, party in the back.

Do you have any advice for athetes new to multi-sport competition? Have fun and enjoy the race - smile and chat with people along the way! Remember to take time off from training. Oh, and peeing in your wetsuit is ok! :)
