What is your favorite product available at TriSports.com? OH! My Zoot racing shoes! I have never felt so great running in tri. |

How did you get your start in Triathlons? I joined a new gym that had had a lot of Ironman finishers (over 100), so the triathlon bug was VERY contagious. When I joined, I started swim lessons and 3 months later I did my 1st sprint. |

What is your favorite workout? My favorite is a fast hard swim followed by a long bike ride on a Saturday morning, when the sun is out, and everyone is on, having a great training ride. |

“When I’m not training/racing, I enjoy…”hanging out with my kids Jacob and Lilli, going out on weekends with friends and sleeping in |

If you could do any triathlon in the World (regardless of monetary restrictions) which one would you do? HaHa, it's not even far away, I just can't afford the trip right now, but I really want to do the Inaugural New Orleans 70.3 in April 2009. That's where my family is from and lost their homes in Katrina. The race starts right by their neighborhood, and the run goes through it and City Park where my Grandfather used to golf for years. It's a sentimental race where I would have a lot of family cheering me on. |

Describe your biggest race disaster. Knock on wood...haven't had one. |

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual? I always get adjusted by my chiropractor, Jeff Seale. He works on all of me but my favorite thing is working out the bottoms of my feet. I don't race without an appointment with him first. |

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don’t normally partake of)? I don't normally restrict myself from anything, but I always have a burger, fries and a beer after a race. |

Have you ever accidentally destroyed a very expensive piece of gear? (For example, have you driven into the garage with a bike on the roof, run over race wheels, etc.) I ruined an old training partners Zipp wheel when the bike the wheel was on fell off my bike rack. |

What is the worst job you’ve ever had? I've never had a job I didn't like, I don't have an answer for this one |

What adjective describes you best? Determined |

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition? Take your time and have fun learning the sport. There is so much to know. I think it's important to take steps to Ironman, do some shorter distance races and work your way up. I've seen people jump right in and never return for another race. |
