What is your favorite product available at TriSports.com? Blister Shield

How did you get your start in Triathlons? My husband talked me into doing a sprint tri

What is your favorite workout? It would be swimming 3000yds by doing 30x100's broken down as first 5x100's on 1:35 , then 10x100's on 1:30, then  10x100's on 1:25 and the last 5x100's on 1:20 without taking any breaks between any of the sets. So you get in 3000yds fast and you don't get much rest

When I’m not training/racing, I enjoy…” I enjoy traveling

If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why? I would stick to training with my husband because we tend to train the same way with hard/easy days and I like spending time with him.

Describe your biggest race disaster. I was doing a womens Danskin race in California and I tried to start with my bike shoes on the pedals for the first time during a race. As I was slipping my foot into the bike shoe, it popped off the pedal and flew off my bike behind me. I went to get off my bike to get my shoe and set my bike down on its side. All my liquid dumped out of my front system so I had no liquid for the bike ride. When I got to the run portion, I forgot to put my race belt on with my number  and left it in transition. This was before they had chip timing so you were always supposed to have the number. As I came across the finish I told them my number and  I forgot my race bib.

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don’t normally partake of)? I usually like to go to McDonalds the morning after an Ironman and get a couple sausage and Egg Mc muffins

Have you ever accidentally destroyed a very expensive piece of gear? (For example, have you driven into the garage with a bike on the roof, run over race wheels, etc.) My bike was totaled when I was hit by a car that ran a red light.

What is the worst job you’ve ever had? I don't know if I have had any jobs that are bad, but my hardest most physical job was at America West Airlines when all the flight attendants were cross utilized and had to do all areas of work. About once a week I was a baggage handler and had load and unload the 737's and 757's on an 8 hour shift in the 100 degree heat of Phoenix. I would come home during the summer looking like I had just done a long run.

What adjective describes you best? Enthusiastic

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition? Surround yourself with other people with the same interest as you.  Get into a masters swim group to help develop good technique in swimming and find a triathlon coach that can help you integrate all 3 sports into a balanced training program for you to follow
