George Esahak-Gage

phoenix, arizona

Occupation:  Real Estate Attorney

Educational Background:  BA, Yale University; JD, Northwestern University

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?  I was born in Tucson, but grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona.  I live in Phoenix now.

How long have you been competing in multi-sport races?  25 years

What is your favorite product available at TriSports.com?  It’s hard to beat the Zipp disc wheel; it’s super-fast on flat courses and light enough to be used on all but the hilliest of hilly courses.

How did you get your start in Triathlons?  I entered my first race, a Half-Ironman, on a dare from a law school buddy.

“When I’m not training/racing, I enjoy…”  Reading a good book.

If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why?  My wife, Jane.  I really like being around her, and we just are very compatible training partners.

If you could have one superhero power what would it be?    The “man of steel” body of Superman; that would have come in handy when that car hit me!

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual?  Yes; I always make sure I’ve put on my race outfit and packed my goggles.

What adjective describes you best?  Determined.

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition?  Don’t overlook the benefits of Bodyglide!
