Where did you grow up? Where do you live now? San Francisco Bay area. Now in San Diego, CA and Santa Fe, NM

How long have you been competing in multi-sport races? 11-12 years or so

What is your favorite product available at TriSports.com? Anything carbon fiber

How did you get your start in Triathlons? Too many "pedistrians" were doing marathon, so it was time for new challenge

What is your favorite workout? a 10k or 5k race used as speed work outs followed by a half hour swim later in the day

“When I’m not training/racing, I enjoy…” Falling a sleep while of the tv.

If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why? Katya Meyers, she is a hottie!

If you could have one superhero power what would it be? I don't know which hero has it but i wish I had "Super Speed," for the bike only. I'll use my own powers for the swim and bike.

Describe your biggest race disaster. no biggies...just flats, broken chains, pre race mechanical troubles...but I am able to fix and go.

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual? just a big pasta dinner the night or 2 nights before a big event.

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don’t normally partake of)? Usually a Double Wopper or a couple of Big Macs....mmmm good!

Have you ever accidentally destroyed a very expensive piece of gear? (For example, have you driven into the garage with a bike on the roof, run over race wheels, etc.) At Age Group Nationals, I accidently forgot to put a rim in my car and backed over it (bent it). Fortunatley was able to borrow a rim from one of the vendors so I could race.

What is the worst job you’ve ever had? none, all my jobs have moved me further along in life.

What adjective describes you best? relatively quiet

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition? It's the engine not the ride...Start out with what ever have and develop your mind/body and soul, then get the best items you can afford. Just remember expensive and light does not necessarily mean better.
