Describe your athletic background. Surfing, skateboarding, wrestling and weight lifting

How long have you been competing in multi-sport races? I have been racing since the days of the Coors Light "Biathlons"

How did you get your start in Triathlons? started out as a duathlete...learned (still learning) to swim and here I am today!

What is your favorite workout? Trail runs...its great to get out away from civilization!

When I’m not training/racing, I enjoy… 4 wheeling and camping

If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why? Kenny Souza...he was my first multi-sport hero.

If you could do any triathlon in the World (regardless of monetary restrictions) which one would you do? Wow, the list would be long. If I had to narrow it down to 1 it would be ironman Hawaii.

Describe your biggest race disaster. Not knowing how to swim for my first tri...it's a long story and very funny. If you see me after race ask me and I'll tell the whole story.

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual? I like to get to a race early so I have plenty of time to get ready and just chill out. I hate to be rushed and short on time.

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don’t normally partake of)?  Dairy Queen Blizzard!

Have you ever accidentally destroyed a very expensive piece of gear? (For example, have you driven into the garage with a bike on the roof, run over race wheels, etc.) None yet...knock on wood.

What is the worst job you’ve ever had? Chow duty in the Marines!

What adjective describes you best? Determined

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition?  ?  If you are not having fun, its time to find a new sport.
