Where did you grow up? Where do you live now? Grew up in Germany and now live in Tucson

Describe your athletic background. I started playing field Hockey when I was 6 and had to stop at 15. After that not much till I started doing Tris in 2004.

How long have you been competing in multi-sport races? 5 years

What is your favorite product available at TriSports.com? Still the nice, warm, incredibly soft fleece-sweater 

How did you get your start in Triathlons? Anger Management

What is your favorite workout? strangely, I really like running intervals. Feels terrible while I'm doing it but once it's done...heavenly...

If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why?Samantha McGlone; I really like her personality; she seems to be real nice; and maybe, just maybe she could help me to get a tiny bit faster...

If you could do any triathlon in the World (regardless of monetary restrictions) which one would you do? Kona, of course

Describe your biggest race disaster. Well, yes, this year I have one for that category. I had to stop racing during the bike at the Halfmax Nationals because of a pinched nerve. Major disaster.

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual? Not really a ritual but I do need coffee and a Kiwi

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don’t normally partake of)?  Fish and Chips with a king size Snickers for desert.

Have you ever accidentally destroyed a very expensive piece of gear? (For example, have you driven into the garage with a bike on the roof, run over race wheels, etc.) Fortunately not

What is the worst job you’ve ever had?  counting little bugs and their eggs on leafs; crop science crap

What adjective describes you best?  Ambitious 

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition? It's all about having FUN!
