Where did you grow up? Where do you live now? I grew up in Germantown, TN a suburb of Memphis and I still live there.

Describe your athletic background. I was a gymnast and swam on a recreational swim team as a child. I was a cheerleader in high school

How long have you been competing in multi-sport races? 6 years

What is your favorite product available at TriSports.com? Newtons

How did you get your start in Triathlons? I started running for fitness and it just took off from there. I needed to lose weight after college.

What is your favorite workout? A Saturday brick for Ironman preparation with lots of heat and humidity.

If you could train for a week with one other triathlete who would it be and why? My husband because he is my best supporter

If you could do any triathlon in the World (regardless of monetary restrictions) which one would you do?  Ironman Lanzarote and of course Kona one day.

Describe your biggest race disaster. I crashed on the bike at Memphis in May and was bleeding down the right side of my body. That made the run brutal. 

Do you have a non-negotiable pre-race ritual? coffee, oatmeal, juice and vitamins

What culinary indulgence do you allow yourself after a big race (that you don’t normally partake of)?  DQ Blizzard

Have you ever accidentally destroyed a very expensive piece of gear? (For example, have you driven into the garage with a bike on the roof, run over race wheels, etc.) Not yet!

What is the worst job you’ve ever had? I rented formal wear. I had to help women with dresses. It was horrible

What adjective describes you best? Fiesty

Finally, do you have any advice for athletes new to multi-sport competition?  I would say be patient, get a good training plan/coach, and the results will come.
