Bio:I am very excited to begin my 7th year competing in triathlon. When I think about my racing career thus far, I always like to reflect on the “learning experiences” from my very first tri (swimming in 60-degree water with no wetsuit, wearing a Camelbak on the bike, running bow-legged because my bike cadence was too low) to remind myself of how much learning and growth is possible. Now after several sprint, olympic and half-distance triathlons, I’m ready to take on my first Ironman in Lake Placid on 7/22/2012 (which also happens to be my birthday)! I really credit triathlon and endurance sports for helping me not only to achieve my personal best, but to develop enduring relationships with friends and training partners as we challenge each other through all of the triumphs and setbacks. My triathlon club and running club have been invaluable connections, representing a complete lifestyle transformation for me and I’m so excited to take that journey further as a member of Team TriSports 2012!

Bio: As a triathlete, professional coach, owner of an endurance sports coaching business, and founder/director of a tri club, multisport is not simply a part-time hobby. It’s my full-time career and lifestyle, and has been a passion of mine for nearly 20 years. I’ve always relished the deeply personal test of will, stamina and ability that comes with endurance racing. And since this challenge increases in proportion to the difficulty of the race, I tend to gravitate toward the longest and most extreme events. Luckily, TriSports.com’s had my back through all the craziness and hard work for the past 7 seasons!
